"NLGA:  Helping America Breathe Easier - Asthma Awareness"
As an association, NLGA is engaged in a multi-state public health education campaign regarding asthma, the leading chronic disease among youths.  The campaign began in May of  2007.  As many as fifteen states and three territories will be involved.  The campaign seeks to distribute bookmarks to constituents with information to help in identification and treatment of asthma.  Also being distributed:  a wallet card and laminate treatment sheet for those with asthma.  More than 500 books on asthma, aimed to educate youth, will also be distributed complimentary among participating states.  A report on the activity of the first 60-days is at this link:  NLGA 60-Day Report.
